Community Care Plan Earns Multicultural Health Care Distinction from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)

Community Care Plan (CCP), the health plan with a heart, is pleased to announce that it has earned Multicultural Health Care Distinction for its Medicaid Health Plan from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).

Care Plan (CCP), the health plan with a heart, is pleased to announce that it has earned Multicultural Health Care Distinction for its Medicaid Health Plan from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). The Multicultural Health Care (MHC) program evaluates how well an organization complies with the standards for the following areas:

· Collection of race/ethnicity and language data;

· Provision of language assistance;

· Cultural responsiveness; and  

· Quality improvement of culturally and linguistically appropriate services, and reduction of health care   disparities.

NCQA is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. NCQA accredits and certifies a wide range of health care organizations and recognizes clinicians in key clinical areas. NCQA’s HEDIS® is the most widely used performance measurement tool in health care.
